I must have misread the invitation.
I thought it was to be a concert featuring 'Polovtsian Dances' - Aleksandr Borodin.
(I haven't played one score of that music since high school concert & symphonic band days).

I soon realized my mistake.

 - Note: Don't wear a suit and tie for this concert... colonoscopy and polypectomy... NOT by Borodin, NOT in a major or minor key, and it DOES contain lyrics... singing... and YOU are actually the featured soloist.

No need to bring your instrument... the 'performers' have their own!
And you thought only Frankie Valli could reach those high falsetto notes.
Polovtsian... Polypectomy... an easy mistake for one to make.

Actually... All thanks to God...
The procedure was not all that bad. The first visit was limited to 1/3 of the colon with 1 'fatty' polyp removed - non-cancerous. This procedure produced no 'uncomfortable' occurrences.
The second visit, one month later, was a full colonoscopy revealing no additional polyps or lesions.
There is very slight spotting that is normal following radiation treatment for prostate cancer.
And a small area of 'Mild diverticulitis', which the Mayo Clinic states: "can be treated with rest, changes in your diet and antibiotics. Severe or recurring diverticulitis may require surgery."
- - And...
"Several factors may increase your risk of developing diverticulitis:
Aging. The incidence of diverticulitis increases with age.
Obesity. Being seriously overweight increases your odds of developing diverticulitis.
Smoking. People who smoke cigarettes are more likely than nonsmokers to experience diverticulitis.
Lack of exercise. Vigorous exercise appears to lower your risk of diverticulitis.
Diet high in animal fat and low in fiber. A low-fiber diet in combination with a high intake of animal fat seems to increase risk, although the role of low fiber alone isn't clear.
Certain medications Several drugs are associated with an increased risk of diverticulitis, including steroids, opioids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others) and naproxen sodium (Aleve)."
